Job Description

For our Client, well established international company, from food processing industry, we are looking for:

CHIEF ACCOUNTANT - MACEDONIA

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for processing on daily basis invoices, expense statements and other journal postings in an efficient and timely manner;
  • Preparing sales invoices, controlling custom declarations and updating the financial data in excel reports needed for daily work processes and monthly reconciliations;
  • Responsible to check VAT books, WHT tax calculations and responsible for tax and custom payment on time as per the Tax Authority Deadlines. Check and authorize computation/payment of monthly taxes, VAT return, Social Security Contributions, Income Tax, WTAX returns as per set deadlines;
  • Assisting during internal/external audits and Tax Authorities by providing the requested information and documentations;
  • Coordinate monthly closing process and responsible for reconciliation of general ledger accounts and maintaining all the data for imports, sales, customer credit balances, stock calculations;
  • Follows up of SAP matrix monthly, and raise CR for all SAP changes needed and all the problems faced during work process and being compliant with company policies and procedures;
  • Assisting the Corporate Finance Manager in the preparation of financial statements reports and ad hoc requests.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Finance graduate degree;
  • 5 years’ experience on a senior or manager position in accounting preferably in a production company;
  • Professional level knowledge of modern accountancy and finance practices and techniques, including IFRS;
  • Strong computer skills, user knowledge of MS Office;
  • High level of English both spoken and written;
  • Excellent analytical capability;
  • Excellent overall knowledge of business development practices;
  • Good understanding of all departments within the Company and of the business;
  • Good economic and financial knowledge;
  • Good management and excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Capacity to engage with non-Finance audience to support driving Finance strategic agenda;
  • Lead, motivate, inspire and develop resources under supervision to maintain a sustainable pipeline within the Finance team;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Ability to implement a software would be a plus.
