A2 aims at raising the standards’ bar in the Albanian news and information delivery by changing the media reality and offering a fast, accurate and credible news source.

A2, CNN exclusive news channel affiliate, is looking for both experienced professionals and talented youngsters, who are eager to learn and show highest integrity.

We are looking for an experienced professional with an editorial background and qualifications:

• Reporter

The “Reporter’ job position includes, researching, developing, reporting, shooting and editing news stories, enterprising story ideas, developing contacts as well as other responsibilities as assigned.

Fluent Bilingual (spoken and written) in Albanian and English.

• A clear understanding of how to dig for a story, research it, write it with an edge and use strong storytelling and TV production to make it impact and memorable,
• To maintain an active social media presence to build your brand and solicit original story ideas,
• To develop story ideas and gather information for newscasts,
• To transmit and pre-evaluate news leads and pitch unique stories that will get results and drive ratings,
• To arrange and conduct interviews when needed to collect witness statements, get information from experts or individuals involved or work on a lead for a proposed story,
• Excellent investigating skill sets and understands the importance of providing context and perspective in a story,
• To write scripts for headlines and bulletins and prepare and present news reports,
• To develop and maintain contacts and relationships in the community,
• To participate in the editorial process,
• Knowledge of current events is essential,
• Enterprising stories that make a difference in our community
• Dynamic live television,
• To cover breaking news with a sense of urgency,
• To operate news gathering vehicle to and from various locations,
• To send exciting live reports with current technology,
• Knowledge of media law and media ethics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Journalism, Communications or a related field,
• At least 2 years of reporting or journalism experience,
• A motivated, energetic, creative, and aggressive who can think and perform outside the box,
• Strong writing, copy editing and technical skills,
• Knowledge and experience working with current media creation tools and contemporary newsroom systems,
• Possess sharp news judgment,
• Engagement on social and digital media,
• Experience on-camera delivery,
• Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously,
• Ability to perform quality work under high pressure deadline situations,
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends and work as a member of a team,
• A great work ethic and a can-do attitude,
• A valid license and a good driving record.
