For our Client, a global company with strong international focus, with activity on import-export of all cement products, we are looking for the following position in Durrës:

TECHNICAL, SAFETY AND INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE MANAGER
 

Job Purpose:

Lead, manage and improve the process of terminals and warehouses distribution facilities and their requisite teams in a safe, responsible, cost effective and customer-focused manner, consistent with all applicable laws and regulations and with company’s policies.

To promote the Health, Safety and Environment Policy of the Group and propose appropriate operational guidelines suited to the subsidiary. Constantly monitor the deployment of the Safety and Environment Management Systems at each level in order to establish a culture of safety, minimize the occupational accident and achieve the best results.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the attainment of objectives in terms of volumes, costs, efficiency of all work operations , innovation and quality level, while coordinating work operations and maintenance, monitoring the relevant KPIs and collaborating on investment activities related to installations;
  • Developing and coordinating the annual operational plan to meet the established objectives;
  • Proposing efficiency and effectiveness as increased measures on installations and systems aimed at ensuring the best terminals performance;
  • Participating in the scouting for new local suppliers and materials, checking and approving all requests for goods and services necessary for terminals operations;
  • Overseeing of the shipping operations in the port terminals, distribution to customers, inventory, maintenance, purchasing, labor, sales, and EHS reporting in coordination with all Departments involved;
  • Implementing and maintaining all processes, procedures and standards at terminal level in compliance with Group standards and corporate policies;
  • Acting as Company representative related to operations and development of technical initiatives;
  • Identify, plan and propose for validation investment initiatives aimed at introducing new technologies and solutions in order to improve performance and reduce costs;
  • Managing projects aimed at increasing or improving the industrial terminal’s efficiency;
  • Having an overall control over maintenance and cleaning operations of all equipment including preparation of maintenance logs, inspections, schedules and parts inventory;
  • Coordinating, supervising and reporting inventory control, stock planning and warehousing affairs in compliance with the adopted policies and procedures;
  • Planning and conducting physical inventory counts in cooperation with the concerned departments;
  • Coordinating scrap collection, classification and sales in close coordination with Purchasing Department;
  • Planning and performing actions to improve stock description, definition and elimination of obsolete items, while maintaining the inventory records updated;
  • Developing and coordinating the annual maintenance plan and submitting it for approval;
  • Participating in developing procurement strategies and plans for assigned spending categories and collaborating in defining KPI and yearly objectives, in cooperation with Purchasing Department;
  • Leading the implementation of the company’s  Health, Safety and  Environment  Policies  along with industrial hygiene matters;
  • Developing and maintaining the Safety Management System in line with the Group’s Safety, supporting and monitoring the effective implementation. Guiding the process of development of safety action plans  in order to create  the healthy  and safe  environment for employees;
  • Monitoring and documenting the evolution of rules and laws concerning health , safety and environment  to support the management in the relevant interpretation and implementation  in order to ensure compliance to applicable permits, laws and regulations, company’s standards, operational guidelines and best practices for safeguarding the health and safety and foster proper health and safety rules for everyone in the organization;
  • Ensuring comprehensive, timely and reliable reporting and information flow to the Company’s Managing Director and to the cluster Sustainable Development Manager and ensuring an effective and accurate communication on health and safety at work, aimed at maintaining the risk awareness at the highest level within the organization;
  • checking the  safety aspects of all installations and technical means before their operation, reviewing and analyzing the production procedures and working methods before their application and supervising the implementation of health and safety working conditions among all employees;
  • Supervising regularly the working conditions from health and safety aspect and reporting to the Employer any identified gaps and immediate actions to be taken;
  • Performing a root-cause analysis of all labor accidents, evaluating the results of the investigation and proposing adequate preventive measures;
  • Supervising the implementation of fire safety and emergency drills for the various risks;
  • Following and implementing the Albanian legislation in the field of Health, Safety and Environment.

Traženi uslovi

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required. A Master degree is a plus
  • 5+ years extensive technical experience with proven success record
  • Excellent knowledge in all HSE local procedures and their enforcement
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, delegate, and make decisions
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and networking, problem solving and creativity, strategic thinking, and intuitive judgment
  • Patience and the ability to work in a fluid environment
  • Culturally sensitive and able to work within a multicultural environment
  • Fluency in English
