For our organization we are looking for a Jn. Security Analyst.  

SUMMARY

The Junior Security Analysts, as part of the IT Security Department assists in ensuring that the company's digital assets confidentiality, integrity and availability are protected. This includes securing infrastructures, going through metrics and data to identify suspicious activity, and mitigating risks, checking that the company's security systems are up to date and creating documentation for security-related topics.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitoring security events and analyze the relevant data in collaboration with IT teams;
• Analyzing security breaches to identify the root cause;
• Monitoring computer systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and free from threats;
• Supporting incident response activities, ensuring security incidents are properly identified, contained, eradicated, and recovered from;
• Supporting maintenance and uninterrupted operation of monitoring tools;
• Identifying and gathering data needed to meet the requirements during an Audit;
• Monitoring systems to ensure adherence to information security policies;
• Drafting reports and assisting the IT Security team in providing insights on the efficacy of the current security policies, incident responses, and other security-related events;
• Assist in the creating procedures for IT employees and training them in security awareness;
• Reporting to senior staff members.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, programming, or related field;
• 1-2 years’ experience in IT administration;
• Training certifications may be advantageous;
• Ability to remain current on the latest technology and best practices in information security;
• Intrusion prevention and detection concepts;
• Familiar with ISO 27001 standard;
• General knowledge on firewalls, operating systems, security information and event management (SIEM);
• Ethical personality and with high integrity;
• Positive attitude and social;
• Good communication, interpersonal and learning skills, and ability to work within a team with other security professionals;
• Good anticipation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
